Our Brands
Ernesto Catena Vinyards
The Catena family has been compared to the Mondavi family in Napa Valley. But in some ways the Catena's influence in Mendoza is even more profound. Ernesto is a true Renaissance man - he has lived in Buenos Aires, Milan, London, Cambridge, Berkeley and New York. He is a skilled horseman, book editor and fashion designer. In his winemaking, he pursues excellence. To that end, he has vineyards of his own in Valle de Uco, Agrelo, La Consulta, Vistaflores and Rivadavia. This variety of terroirs is the perfec canvas for his three winery brands: Tikal, Siesta and Alma Negra.
VinEcol
The Vinecol winery project was launched in 2000 in Mendoza with the purpose of creating top-rated certified organic wines in Mendoza, Argentina. Such an ambitious project requires a special terroir. That is why VinEcol placed their vineyards and winery in the district of La Paz Mendoza, next to the Ñacuñan Biosphere Reserve, which is endowed with natural resources, perfect for organic cultivation. This natural reserve has been part of the UNESCO MAB Program (Men and the Biosphere) since 1986 and ensures a wide area of pollution-free natural resources that supply the vineyards.
Familia Sottano
Don Fioravantti Sottano was born in 1890 in the region of Venetto - Italy - and emigrated to the Mendoza Province in Argentina in the early 20th Century. His son Michael gave birth to a new flourishing oil industry in the region committed to hard working with a thriving spirit. Today, its second generation has pioneered the concept of varietal plantations and took to a whole new level the olive oil production standards in Argentina. We are proud to share with you the result of perseverance and the legacy of a hard working family who had a vision that today transcends in the products they make with the highest quality standards.
Alma Criolla Wines
"Bodega Cuatro Sueños" comes to light after 60 years of passionate work in the viticulture industry. Ramiro Martins, who comes from a winemaking family, is today in charge of facing this challenge leading an energetic team of wine specialists and childhood friends. They seek to take up the passion for the terroir, the people, grapevines and wines that his family instilled to Ramiro since he was a child. This shared dream was founded in Lujan de Cuyo and in its honor this team of friends created the "Alma Criolla" brand which pays tribute to the longevity and the roots bound by their ancestor who created a viticulture paradise in a hostile stony land.
Zemlia Wines
Bodega Zemlia's philosophy brings us back to a full connection with the soil and the roots of Mendoza. Zemlia means Earth and by giving this name to their winery, its creators sought to honor the infinite and generous land in Argentina and particularly to honor the terroir and the people of Mendoza. This winery possesses vineyards in the Valle de Uco and Altamira, where excellent quality grapes grow from; these grapes are lately used by mayor wine makers to create their high end wines. The Malbec grapes - the winery's main canvas - come largely from their vineyards in Tunuyán - Valle de Uco. Later on, some of the best crops are combined with selected grapes from other collaborating vine growers to produce Zemlia's top quality wines.
